Psa 116:1 (Passion Translation)
“I am passionately in love with God because he listens to me. He hears my prayers and answers them.”
Listening is an act of love. According to this verse, we love Him because He listens to us. You mean God LOVES to listen to me? This should inspire us to pray. Know that when we pray, we aren’t just talking, but someone is actually LISTENING to us, giving us audience. This same person who loves to listen to us EVERYTIME we pray also loves it when we listen to Him too. In other words don’t pray just to be heard, but be intentional to listen as well. Prayer should NEVER be a one-sided dialogue. Remember that successful dialogue is when both parties have the freedom to speak. Speak to God and know that He is listening. Also let Him speak to you, and let Him know that YOU are listening.
